Tech rules

  • Drivers must complete registration, sign the waiver, and attend the mandatory drivers’ meeting.

  • Wristbands or badges must be worn and visible at all times.

2. Safety Gear

  • Helmet: Snell SA2015 (or newer) required.

  • Long pants, closed-toe shoes, and long-sleeve shirts recommended.

  • Fire-retardant suits required for vehicles running fuel cells or turbo/nitrous setups producing high heat.

3. Pit & Paddock Rules

  • Speed limit: 10 mph in pits.

  • No reckless driving outside the designated drift course.

  • Keep pits clean—fluids must be contained, spills cleaned immediately.

4. Track Behavior

  • Follow all flagger and staff instructions.

  • If you spin out, re-enter the track safely and wait for a gap—no sudden re-entry.

5. Spectator Rules

  • Stay within designated spectator zones.

  • No crossing into hot pits or track without authorization.

6. Substance Policy

  • Absolutely no drugs or alcohol for drivers before or during the event.

  • Any suspected impairment = immediate removal.

7. Conduct

  • No aggressive behavior, fighting, 

  • Respect staff, other drivers, and facility property.


TECHNICAL RULES (TECH INSPECTION)

1. Exterior & Chassis

  • Vehicle must be free of loose body panels or hazardous protrusions.

  • Tow hooks (front and rear) required and clearly marked.

  • Battery must be properly secured—no bungee cords.

2. Wheels & Tires

  • Tires must be free of exposed cords or major defects.

  • All lug nuts present and properly torqued.

  • No wheel cracks or severe bends.

3. Brakes & Steering

  • Fully functional brakes—no leaks, firm pedal.

  • Brake lights must work.

  • No excessive play in steering components, tie rods, or ball joints.

4. Engine & Fuel System

  • No major fluid leaks (oil, coolant, fuel, PS, etc.).

  • Overflow reservoirs required for coolant.

  • Fuel system must be sealed and safely routed—no exposed, unprotected lines in cabin unless braided and approved.

5. Interior

  • Seats must be securely bolted.

  • Seat belts or harnesses must be in good condition—not frayed or torn.

  • Loose items must be removed from the car before driving.

6. Roll Protection (if required by class)

  • Convertibles must have a factory or aftermarket roll bar that exceeds helmet height.
